Keep track of the gin and how you tasted it.

A gin tasted neat can feel different in a mixed drink. Keep the bottle’s identity and your tasting context together, so a later rating has something useful to refer back to.

Make room for the details

Use your note to record botanicals you noticed, the mixer or garnish, and how it was served. Citrus, floral or herbal impressions can be useful starting points, but you do not need specialist vocabulary to record what stood out.

Keep your personal score

Rate your own enjoyment and record anything that did not work for you. Your score belongs to your tasting, rather than a claim about how everyone should experience that gin. Another occasion can have its own record.

Find the bottle again

Save the producer and expression in your collection, or add a gin to Wishlist without pretending you have tasted it. Where a particular batch or variant matters, confirm it in the details rather than relying on a similar-looking label photo.
